Love them curves!

The furniture adventure continues! This cupboard took several stages to complete as it was quite an awkward shape with lots of separate sections. Here is what it looked like when I received it. The back and two doors have been removed.

I had to give this piece a good cleaning before I could paint it as it was very dusty. This photo shows a comparison between two glass door panels before and after I cleaned them. (The dog who is very helpfully demonstrating this is Elvis).

I took a lot of masking tape to cover all the edges touching glass on this cupboard; font and back! This is what it looked like after three coats of undercoat. To give this cupboard a country cottage look it was to be painted in chalk paint instead of Farrow and Ball eggshell. I chose Annie Sloane chalk paint as it has a good reputation for quality.

This is the cupboard after it has been painted with chalk paint. The back has yet to be done (I'm still deciding the best thing to do with it). There are also extra glass pieces to this and when the whole cupboard has been put back together I will take a good photo of it. Even half finished I think this cupboard looks great.
