2025 Round-Up

2025 was a very eventful year for me! I put on my first solo exhibition, I opened my shop, I painted a new mural - I did a lot of new and at times scary things in 2025 but it will definitely be a year I won't forget!
Here are a few of the highlights...

My painting 'Geese Over Loch Laich Salt Marsh' won the People's Choice Award at the Ty Pawb Open which was amazing, and then a lovely couple bought it which was the first time I sold an original painting that wasn't a commission.

This may seem lame to some but seeing my Markets mural as a Pokestop in Pokemon Go was so cool!

I painted a photo wall for Ty Pawb for the National Eisteddfod featuring Wrexham landmarks. It's been so nice to see all the photos people have taken in front of it.

I put on my first solo art Exhibition 'Face Up' at the new Oriel Bach space in Ty Pawb. It felt so amazing to have finally done this!

I put my logo on my Market mural - my first tag!

I opened my shop! Definitely the high point of my year and the start of an exciting new adventure!

I painted my Art Treasures mural which was a really fun project and had such a great response from the public.

I painted a space themed photo wall for Xplore! Science Discovery Centre in Wrexham.

Finding Rory!

Say hello to . . . . Rory! The Art Bunny Dinosaur finally has a name!

I put up a naming sheet in the shop a couple of months ago and today we pulled a name out of a basket and 'Rory' was the winner!

Thank you to everyone who wrote down a name; it was so much fun seeing all of your suggestions!

Rory is very happy with his new name and he and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I decided I loved my Nadolig Llawen design so much I'd also make it into a standing decoration! I've been getting all of my wooden decorations from Lightning Laser and they are so lovely. I can't wait to design some more that aren't just for Christmas!

Look at my lovely new wooden Christmas decorations! They're all coloured pencil illustrations of mine that have been printed onto wood and laser cut by Lightning Laser - made in the UK which is something I always aim for.

They all have adorable names too because I love a Christmas pun!

More new Christmas cards!
Santa Claws is in town - his sleeves are too long and his boots too small but he's ready for Christmas and loving it!
Plus my first Welsh Christmas card featuring an illustration of the Welsh dragon - Y Ddraig Goch - with some colourful festive bunting and sparkly fairy lights.
Both of these were just meant to be wooden Christmas decorations but they were so cool I had to turn them into cards too!

Sexy Santa and a Dipsy Dino

Here are a couple of new Christmas cards I made for this year! First is a Christmas 'Dinos with Desserts' card featuring a Camposaurus with a Christmas Pudding - because dinosaurs and Christmas are totally a thing now! The second is design I did for a Brains Beer competition that didn't win but I thought it was cool so I thought I'd make it into a Christmas card. Heaving that sack of presents around is clearly a very good arm workout!

Behold! The lovely new sign for my lovely new shop! Doing the same on both sides was tricky but they actually look pretty similar.

It's lovely and bright in real life so hopefully it will catch the attention of people passing by!

Drum roll please!

I'm opening a shop!!!

That's right, I've finally taken the plunge, quit my part time job and decided to open my very own Art Bunny shop! I will be selling all of my lovely art and craft stuff as well as using it as a studio to create more art.

The grand opening will be Saturday 4th October and I cannot wait!

It's an Absolute Gem!

Behold! It's an Absolute Gem! For those of you who haven't seen the amazing television show Our Flag Means Death I highly recommend that you do!

I made this little illustration in honour of one of my favourite moments from the show - Stede Bonnet in his cursed red velvet suit.

I don't often make fan art but sometimes something is so good I just can't help myself. Rhys Darby delivers this line (and every other line) so well that I just had to draw it.

The original drawing of Stede I did with coloured pencil and then added the background and text in photoshop. I went through a few different background ideas before I decided to make it look a bit like a treasure map (because Stede was so proud of his) complete with ragged edges and blood stain.

It's such a shame that it looks as though this show isn't going to get it's final season (fingers crossed one day it will), but at least I had fun drawing Stede being Stede!
