2020 - who knew! It's been a year none of us will ever forget that's for sure. It's hard to believe that the start of lockdown was way back at the end of March! During the lockdown I finished off quite a few art projects. Some are up on the website for you to see and some you'll have to wait until next year for (exciting stuff!). I also had fun making some personal arts and crafts things. Here are some of things I made during lockdown! A rainbow for the NHS (complete with Zippy!). Some new signs for the garden - one for Sadie's path and one for the hedgehog house. A old fashioned street light for the fairy house made from matchsticks. Some cute little ducks on a bar stool for a friend. A set of nick-nack drawers for the kitchen featuring stuff that we love (that's Sadie's food face!).

Hello again! It's been quite a while since I put anything in my blog (much longer than I realised!), but I am finally back with some lovely art to share.
This is a painting of the Conwy River valley I made for a friend of my Mum's. It is the view from his house; you can see from the River Conwy on the left, to the mountains of Snowdonia on the right. I actually used a bit of artistic license here because in reality you have to stand in two different places to see the entire view, so I squished it all in a bit so that I could still use the trees in the foreground to frame it all. It is a stunning view and I think I did a pretty good job of capturing it here. The illustrations below I have decided to call my Magical Ladies series! I just had an urge one day to draw. I had no real plan in mind I just wanted to have fun drawing something and making it up as I went along like I used to when I was little. The first one I did was the archer looking towards a castle. I've always loved drawing castles and mountains and things blowing in the wind. I then went from mystical wind elf, to sexy goat lady, to soggy fairy in the rain, to floaty fish lady. Each drawing started off as picture in my mind and then evolved into it's finished form as I was drawing it. It was a lot of fun just drawing with no goal in mind and it's something I need to make more time for in the future.
