When I went to Scotland in January I thought it would be a great chance to do some art outside (something I hope to do much more of this year). I took a small canvas with me and painted the view from Cul-na-shee across Saddell Bay to the Isle of Arran in the background. It was a lovely sunny day but it was also pretty cold, so I had to keep popping indoors to warm my hands up every now and then. When the light started to fade it got far too cold to paint outside any more so I finished the painting off in front of a lovely warm fire. It was a perfect way to spend a sunny winters day!
