A very suitable suitcase.

Whilst sorting out the attic a few weeks ago we came across a couple of old suitcases. I decided that these lovely battered old things would be great additions to my craft stall as display cases (you may have spotted one in my last couple of craft fair posts), and so I decided to have a go at 'up-cycling' one.

Here is one as we found it.

This is the same suitcase after I added a brown lining and flowery fabric flourishes! 

I added a rim across the top with pins in it to hang things off, and when you lift the base up it doubles as storage for my craft bits!

So now I have a lovely new display case and a handy new place to transport my stuff. Fabulous and functional all in one!
