Animation Showreel 2016
'Prometheus and the Moon'
Winner of the Royal Television Society North West Student Film Award for Animation
'Prometheus and the Moon' was my final year film at university. It is a stop motion animated short about a rabbit called Prometheus, who lives a lonely life in the Alaskan wilderness and dreams of nothing more than going to the moon and meeting the Spiffles - characters from his favourite television show. He spends his days building elaborate space machines to get him there, with a few little mishaps along the way.

'Love, above all things'
'Love, above all things' is a 2D computer animated short based on the poem 'The Highwayman' by Alfred Noyes. It tells the story of two doomed lovers; the Highwayman and Bess the landlord's daughter. 'Shadow'
'Little girl walking''A Bird Through My Binoculars''What's in the Box!''Face Films' |
'Shadow' is a 2D computer animated short made to study animal movements. It is simply Shadow the dog (with a brief cameo by Molly) playing in the snow.
(no sound) Programs used: Adobe Flash 'Little girl walking' was a walk cycle test done using a traditional 2D method. (no sound) 'A Bird Through My Binoculars' was another study of animal movement, this time a bird in flight.
(no sound) Programs used: Adobe Flash 'What's in the Box!' sees another appearance by the little girl. It was made as a character test (with a little animal movement study thrown in). (no sound) This is my opener that appears at the start of my animations. Much like the 'Universal' globe or the 'Paramount' mountain it is an animated logo for 'Face Films' - the name under which I make my animations. |
